The idea behind the artwork “Seven lives – many faces” was born out of inspiration from the music with the same name, composed by the German band Enigma.
Originally it should have been a single 100cmx100cm artwork, but the journey was longer than expected and the seven personalities who belong in my story took up much more space. On the journey, “Seven lives – many faces” developed into a collage of nine pieces each 100cmx100cm. The seven personalities living in the artwork are symbols and arch types representing the woman throughout different times. My choice has been to celebrate the female nature using the symbols and arch types; the eagle, the angel, the unicorn, the warrior, the seductress, the witch and the wolf.
